General Disclaimer

All of the information I have to share with you comes from me.  I have had some specific training in fitting dancewear and dance shoes.  I also have a lot of experience with trying out brands and styles.  I am probably the biggest snoop you have ever seen, and whenever a friend gets new dancewear, I am all over him or her with questions like "Where did you get it?" and "How do you like it?"

All of the information I share with you is largely my opinion.  I have preferences for certain products and techniques, and I share this information to give you knowledge and ideas.  I am not endorsed by any brand, and I am not attempting to specifically promote any certain brand or product.  My goal is to educate the dance public about what is available, how it works, and how it can be used.

When I talk about a specific product, it is because I have tried it or I have talked to someone else who has tried it.  Do not expect any experience you have with a product to be identical to what I describe.

The guidelines I provide (especially about pointe shoes) are just that: guidelines.  I want to educate the dance community and provide information that will assist in understanding the structure and process of dance and dancewear.  Every foot and every body is different, so professional fittings and advice from dancewear professionals are the best ways to ensure a good and safe fit with any dance shoe.  Always get a professional fitting for pointe shoes, and only dance en pointe at the recommendation and under the direction of a qualified ballet teacher.  I cannot be held liable for any injury that comes from using a dance shoe or product that I have listed on the site.
